Psychological Evaluation/Testing

At Sanders Psychological Services, I believe it is important to get to know you before beginning testing. Testing can take several hours and the individual needs of each client are considered when scheduling appointments. At the conclusion of testing, I believe it is important to help you understand the results and recommendations of testing. I will provide a detailed written report of findings and recommendations during an appointment where you have the opportunity to ask any clarifying questions and ensure optimal understanding of the results. I do primarily evaluations on children/adolescents in addition to adult ADHD or IQ waiver evaluations.

With psychological testing measures, we can learn more about a variety of areas that could impact an individual’s functioning including:

  • Intellectual Functioning

  • Academic/Achievement Functioning

  • Learning Disorders

  • Adaptive Functioning

  • Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)

  • Emotional Functioning

  • Personality Assessment

  • Autism Spectrum Assessment

Psychological testing can be helpful in determining a specific diagnosis or symptoms creating difficulties in ones life. Testing can also help people identify strengths in how they learn and how they relate to others. I utilize a variety of instruments to conduct intellectual testing, academic achievement testing, attention testing, and personality and emotional testing. A combination of behavior rating scales, objective and projective personality measures, and standardized IQ and achievement tests are utilized as part of the testing assessments.
